(IVY) Go The Distance

Ivy's body went stiff when he sat down near her, she paused then looked at her dad, he was her dad could he gain her trust again? She wanted to give it him, she wanted to know her dad really, she always had that there in her mind, the thoughts scared her. She knew she shouldn't say that she wanted him to stay away from her, Ivy needed her dad. What would Ryan say to her? He wouldn't be happy, he was so protective, maybe if he came along with them, she didn't know. Ivy couldn't think.

Her head turned away as she placed her eyes on the box, with the necklace that was filled with apologies and love, she nodded and placed her hand on it and took it from his hand shaking, placing it beside her "thank you...d...d...da...dad" Ivy said her eyes flickered up to him as he put his arm around her shoulders, making her stay still completely before placing her head onto him and hugging him, she needed him "okay" she told him.

Cassidy felt Ivy stiffen and sighed. He understood why she wouldn't trust him, but he wanted her trust and he had to fight to get it back. "I know you can't trust me. I was awful too you, but maybe we could work on it. I want to know my daughter".

Cassidy's heart skipped a beat as Ivy called him dad. He couldn't believe it. It was the first time in years that someone had called him dad. He felt her remain still as she leant into him and when she placed her head to him and hugged him, he was over run with a wave of emotion, "I'm so sorry baby girl" he said, stroking her face and wiping away her tears

Ivy smiled a little bit, still scared but she nodded, she had to give him a chance it was her dad she really did needed him. "A chance... okay" Ivy said to him, she was still shaking, but she had to let it work out for them, Ivy only had Ryan there for her she felt bad if she had to ask her parents for anything, she was very self dependent. Ivy needed to be a child for a while, a kid who enjoys life who makes so many mistakes but wont get blamed for most of them, someone would help her out of the trouble she got in. "I... Im sorry i do that to myself" she apoligesed to her dad, however she knew she shouldnt be, but her words she couldnt say cut herself or slit or anything like that.

"Why did mum leave too?" she asked her dad, she wanted to know, yeah her dad did that to her she understood why he went but why did her mum too? Ivy looked up at her dads face and bit her lip, she was still scared but she had to let him hold her, Ivy knew how much he was dealing with all the emotion of seeing her, seeing that she want to try and let him get to know her, not to run away and leave her again. Ivy was happy about that she wanted to be there for him, she needed to tell Adrianna though, she was so scared and needed to let out the pain and cut. Her hands wanted to go into her bag and grab the box out and slice her skin for the thoughts of everything, her eyes looked over at her bag the box that was shown, with her razor in there. Ivy felt her dad wipe away her tear, a small smile came across her face "I know dad, i know" she said to him.

Cassidy was excited when she said he could have a chance. He had expected her to say no, and he wouldn't have blamed her if she had. He sighed, "So tell me. What are the people who adopted you like?", he was curious and he wanted to learn to be a good father. Cass smiled again and nodded, "You should try stop it. It isn't any good for you and you could seriously hurt yourself. Can I have your blades please, just to make sure you don't so it again?". That was the first step towards being a good dad, making sure his daughter was safe.

He sighed when she asked about her mother, "She was a bad a mother as I was a father. She couldn't look after you and you deserved a better life. You deserved a family and and a better life, so we both left. I'm not with your mother any more. She ruined her life a different way". Cass sighed and thought about his ex wife stuck in rehab or on a street somewhere. She had started using drugs shortly after they left Ivy and now she was a complete wreck. He had managed to get a divorce on those grounds. Cass followed Ivy's eyes and saw the glint of metal in a box. He crawled over to it and took it out, "Can I take these please. I don't want you to have the temptation".

Ivy looked at him after he asked her the question about her adoption family she bit her lip with a smile "Theire nice, they look after me, their son Ryan he's just a few months younger than me but he's really protective" she said "I havent told any of them about it, its always been there but i hid it away" she honestly said "But my best friend, i told her the other day i needed someone to talk to and so did she" Ivy bit her lip. Ivy liked having Adrianna to talk to she needed her best friend just as much as they needed each other, she wouldnt take back what she told her she just couldnt.

"No" Ivy said staring at the ground at his question about taking the razors away "No, i need them i cant stop" she said, her fingers were digging into her leg hard shaking but she needed to controll her pain "I understand you wanting to remove them but i cant just give up like that, i cant give up with just someone asking me to" Ivy said then looked up at her dad who moved across the floor to grab her box out of her bag "No please dont" Ivy said she was scared if he did, but she had lots hidden away in her room and one in her locker hidden beneth her books.
